KAHV – Hybrid Cooling Tower in V-Shape with Axial Fans

The KAHV series is a hybrid cooling system that combines the advantages of evaporative and dry cooling in one unit.

Benefits

No recirculation

Good accessibility

Customized solutions

Low water consumption

Highest hygiene standards

Low cooling water temperatures

Cost-effective operation due to water savings

Applications

Suitable for ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as various industrial process water cooling applications in locations with year-round cooling needs for outdoor installations.

Operating Principle

Hybrid cooling systems utilize the evaporative heat of water during summers. Treated water is sprayed directly onto the fins of the device during wet operation. The water evaporates and cools the liquid in the heat exchanger through the enthalpy of evaporation. In winter, heat is dissipated through the temperature difference with the surrounding air, operating the unit like a pure dry cooler.

The use of high-performance fin coolers allows achieving a high dry switching point, leading to maximum water savings.
