CARLY Liquid Separators LCY

Preventing the suction-side return of liquid refrigerant and larger amounts of oil into the compressor in refrigeration and air conditioning systems:

• The use of LCY and LCYE liquid separators is highly recommended for: 

  ➜ Systems with frequent temperature fluctuations 

  ➜ Systems with long pipeline lengths 

  ➜ Systems with reverse cycles.

   

• The use of LCYE liquid separators with a heat exchanger is especially recommended for: 

  ➜ Systems with low suction gas superheat in the compressor (liquid coolers, freezer display cases, vehicle refrigeration, etc.) 

  ➜ Systems where the liquid separator is mounted externally (in this case, the heat exchanger facilitates faster liquid evaporation).

• The products are compatible with HCFCs, CFCs, HFCs, CO2, as well as their oils and related additives. They are designed for use with harmless refrigerants of Group 2 according to PED 2014/68/EU.

For the use of CARLY components with refrigerants of Group 1 such as:

• Propane R290, Butane R600, Isobutane R600a, Propylene R1270 - as well as with HFCs and transcritical CO2 or for an application in the organic cycle of RANKINE, please contact CARLY's technical service.

• The product classification into CE categories is carried out in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU Table, corresponding to volume-based design. • LCY and LCYE liquid separators are designed to ensure the separation of gaseous and liquid refrigerants. Only gaseous refrigerant is suctioned by the compressor. • Reduces vibrations in the low-pressure range.
