Full cooling capacity for large-scale systems and heat pump applications - and that with fewer compressors than before: The new 8-cylinder piston compressors for transcritical CO2 applications enrich the ECOLINE CO2 range for even larger performance ranges with CO2 as the refrigerant in refrigeration and heat pump applications. BITZER has developed them for systems in the larger performance range that were previously designed with HFC refrigerants or ammonia.
The advantage of CO2 in large-scale commercial refrigeration or industrial applications: It is a natural refrigerant, non-toxic, and enables compact system dimensions. In addition, the 8-cylinder piston compressors for transcritical CO2 applications are around ten percent more energy efficient than smaller 6-cylinder compressors currently available on the market. This results in less energy consumption and fewer emissions.
The BITZER 8-cylinder CO2 piston compressors are available in two motor variants with displacement volumes between 69.4 and 99.2 m3/h and designed for frequency inverter operation. They are also equipped with the mechanical capacity control VARISTEP for part-load operation as well as with start-up relief.
The 8-cylinder CO2 piston compressors are characterized by low gas pulsations and vibrations as well as low starting currents. The improved gas handling minimizes internal pressure drop and achieves the usual low BITZER oil throw rate. The compressors are easy to integrate, install, operate, and maintain thanks to the IQ module and oil management OLM.
