Bitzer OS.A105 Open Screw Compressors Ammonia
With the new open screw compressors OS.A105, BITZER is expanding its ammonia screw compressor portfolio for industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Three displacement stages are planned, with 1,400, 1,700, and 2,000 m³/h at 2,900 rpm. This results in cooling capacities from 950 kW to 1,400 kW at 2,900 rpm in standard refrigeration applications with an evaporation temperature of −10 °C.
The compressors are designed for use with an external frequency inverter, which allows the displacement volume, and consequently the cooling capacity per compressor, to be increased by approximately 40 percent. The new open screw compressors OS.A105 are equipped with the IQ module, which efficiently operates the dual slide for mechanical capacity control and Vi adjustment. The slides allow for continuous adjustment of the cooling capacity between 10 and 100 percent. Additionally, the compressors come standard with an integrated check valve, making them suitable for compound operation without modification.
The new compressors combine high cooling capacity with reliability and smooth operation. The integrated IQ module simplifies commissioning, operation, and maintenance alike.
The OS.A105 compressor will be showcased as a prototype at the Chillventa exhibition and is expected to be available on the market in 2024 following the current pre-series phase.
