Compact chillers with piston compressors with CO2 / NH3 as refrigerant and a power range from 100 to 800 kW
The SABROE CO2 / Ammonia Chiller (CAFP) concept combines the advantages of CO2 on the low-temperature side and ammonia on the high-temperature side.
A CO2 compressor has 8 to 12 times the capacity of a similar ammonia unit, making the low temperature compressor much smaller and the whole unit much more compact.
CAFP devices (CO2 / Ammonia Freeze Package) are available with a capacity of 100 to 800 kW.
