LOW GWP REFRIGERANT

So-called low GWP refrigerants were and are being developed as environmentally friendly and climate-friendly refrigerant variants. With their low GWP (Global Warming Potential), these refrigerants make little or no contribution to global warming.

The Directive of the EU Parliament and Council on emissions from air conditioning systems in motor vehicles (2006/40/EC) stipulates that vehicle models newly type-approved after January 1st, 2011 and all new vehicles from January 1st, 2017 only may contain particularly climate-friendly refrigerants. According to the EU directive, these new refrigerants may only have a GWP of less than 150.
