Otto, Volkart Indirect cooling systems A planning guide for refrigeration and heat transfer systems

This title will be released in November 2019.

We are happy to take your pre-order! An understanding of the relationships in cooling and heat pump systems with cooling and heating media is essential in order to avoid misinterpretations when planning and using the systems. First, the history and current trends in cold water and brine technology are explained and critically examined. On the basis of the thermodynamic and fluidic fundamentals, energy comparisons between the refrigeration processes are made in order to provide the reader with decision-making aids for the project work. The main components and features of the refrigeration application, primarily applications in product cooling, industrial cooling processes and humid air treatment, are presented in detail, as well as the boundary conditions for the selection of the hydraulic circuit, control valves and other circuit components. "Toolboxes" help the reader to successfully process different project situations, which are broken down into clearly structured sub-steps.

Volkart Otto is a planning engineer for technical building equipment and air conditioning/refrigeration systems. He trains prospective master refrigeration system builders at the federal technical school for refrigeration, air conditioning and technology in Maintal and at the ESaK Bachelor of Science - specializing in refrigeration system technology. Previously, Mr. Otto worked as a specialist planner in an engineering office and as a works manager in heating and ventilation construction.
